Lincoln MK9
Attracting a lot of attention at the New York show, the Lincoln MK 9 coupe concept points to the design direction of future Lincoln vehicles and according to Lincoln, is a statement of the brand's "American Luxury" signature.
"The Lincoln MK 9 displays a timeless elegance borne of the design's inherent simplicity and visual logic, while its overall exuberance is unmistakably American," says Lincoln Design Director Gerry McGovern. "During the next several years, Lincoln will build on the design direction evident in the MK 9 through new concept and production vehicles." Go to Lincoln MK9 full story...

Hummer H2 SUT
Looking like it just dropped off the set of a 'Terminator' movie, the latest concept vehicle from Hummer - the H2 SUT concept aims at achieving new levels of "extreme capability."
"We really went out of our way to make sure that we understood what are the important elements of Hummer", said Clay Dean, Hummer Brand Character Chief Designer "It's straight-forward, it's brutal, it's overbuilt...it's the most capable SUV on the planet."
The H2 SUT has seating for five passengers plus a dedicated cargo bed with a reconfigurable midgate for almost endless cargo/passenger carrying possibilities.
"Everything that we did on this vehicle, was done for a functional reason", said Terry Henline, Hummer Design Director. "The cabin's rear screen slides down into the midgate, which folds forward to extend the load space into the cabin. With the tailgate down as well, there is over 7ft of load bed length."
As with Chevy's Borrego concept, this versatile arrangement of folding seats and cabin panels blurs conventional ideas of exterior and interior space usage. A full 'skyroof' opens up to create an open-air vehicle, and an innovative roof rack system includes rails that extend over the load bed, ideal for carrying mountain bikes.
The vehicle features a 6.0-liter, Vortec 6000 V-8, 5-speed automatic transmission with full-time all-wheel drive, independent front suspension and 5-link rear suspension for superior handling and towing.
The Hummer features state-of-the-art telematics including I-radio, OnStar, GPS navigation, and 360° night vision (that imposing looking black webcam-like thing on the roof).
The SUT represents the next possible product evolution for Hummer, and is currently under study as an addition to the product portfolio. The H2 SUT is derived from the production-intent 2003 H2 SUV.
