October 17, 2001 Toyota's FXS, to debut at the Tokyo Motor Show, has been designed under the theme of "A simple and sexy form with a sense of presence" and has a wide and low slung body, "contrasting areas of brilliant lustre against those of elusive shade".
Its full leather interior is highlighted by touches of chrome and bluish-white illuminated dials set within a deep blue background.
The FXS has a highly rigid, open body and is powered by a 4.3-litre V8 engine mated to a six-speed sequential manual transmission. These features come together with double wishbone suspension all-round to promise driving and handling fun.
The FXS is one of a total of 17 concept vehicles on display at this year's Tokyo show together with 39 production vehicles.
