Peugeot 807 Grande Tourisme

Feb 21, 2003 - Peugeot is presenting two concept vehicles at the Geneva Motor Show:

The highly unusual Hoggar concept is an open-air vehicle with a low-slung and muscular profile. Hoggar is a thoroughbred 2-seater designed with recreation in mind. Less than 4m in length, 2m wide and 1.48m high, the lines of the Peugeot Hoggar resemble those of a buggy.

The Hoggar features two HDi engines with FAP (particulate filter), one at the front, the other at the rear, developing in tandem power of around 360 bhp, with a phenomenal torque of 800 Nm.

Designed to carry two people, the Hoggar welcomes its passengers into the cockpit by means of gull-wing doors. Once inside, the interior of Hoggar is a high-tech blend of aluminium and leather. The fascia panel has two central dials indicating the engine speed of each power train. The console houses a touch screen connected to a PC controlling the GPS satellite navigation system for direction finding, the speedometer and the inclinometer, and also features an MP3 player.

The 807 Grand Tourisme concept is powered by a V6 engine developing approximately 204 bhp, and features an interior designed to transport four passengers in absolute luxury and comfort.

With added dynamic touches such as a lowered ride height, sports body sills, ‘chrome shadow’ luggage rack bars and 18" 7-spoke wheels, the exterior styling of the 807 Grand Tourisme gives it a strong personality, combining both its sporting intentions with a chic and opulent character associated with a top-of-the-range vehicle.

In addition to its Babylon red livery, the 807 Grand Tourisme has a ‘honeycomb’ mesh grille, original xenon headlamps and a large, panoramic sunroof admitting generous quantities of light into a meticulously finished interior.

The interior is a four-seat configuration that features two integrated 13 inch TV screens for the rear seat passengers, integrated RT3 telematics, refrigerated storage units, electrically retractable footrests and a DVD player.
