The 2004 NAIAS featured no less than 67 new model launches and world premieres.

Leading the concept car debuts were the Chrysler ME Four-Twelve, Jeep Rescue, Lincoln Aviator and MkX, Chevrolet Nomad and Saturn Curve, together with surprises from Ford with the Bronco and VW with the Concept-T. Japanese makers were also strongly featured with concepts such as the Toyota FTX, Nissan Actic, Honda SUT, and Mitsubishi Sport Truck.
