Sep 18, 2004 At the Paris Motor Show Pininfarina will be presenting three projects developed with the participation of all the Groups areas of activity (Design, Engineering, Manufacturing) and with the collaboration of international partners.
The Nido project is based on the study, design and prototyping of new solutions that involve structural aspects and the design of a small 2-seater car, with the goal of increasing both internal safety, which affects the occupants directly, and external safety, designed to limit any damage to pedestrians in the event of a collision.
The Double-Face project, which Pininfarina has been working on jointly with Matra Automobile Engineering, started from a hypothesis: the possibility of developing two cars for a multi-brand manufacturer, one in sheet metal, and the other in composite material, as distant as possible in stylistic terms, but with common technical features so as to reduce the impact of tooling costs on niche volumes.
Following a tour in Europe and Asia to weigh the interest of collectors and enthusiasts, the Enjoy concept, developed in collaboration with Louis Vuitton, will be manufactured and sold in only 75 units to celebrate the companys 75th anniversary in 2005. Enjoy features an interior by Louis Vuitton, 192 bhp engine by Lotus Performance, and a Bang&Olufsen sound system.
