Eyes on Design / Detroit is an event that recognizes significant contributions to the world of automotive design as presented at the North American International Auto Show.
The award process will begin on Sunday, January 7 at the North American International Auto Show with winners announced at the Eyes on Design/Detroit reception January 10. Formal presentations will take place in mid-April during Press Preview Days at the New York Auto Show. Judges are design professionals, suppliers to the design industry and academics. Auto World Weekly will publish a special insert focused on automotive design, the technologies which shape it and the people with the vision who make it happen. The insert will appear in Auto World Weekly and be distributed nationally as well as through special distribution at auto shows.
A total of 24 awards will be presented in 12 categories - one to a Design Team in each category and the other by the team to the Most Significant Contributor to the teams design success: - Compact - Mid-Size - Luxury - Personal Sport - SUV - Pickup - Multi-Passenger Vehicle - Crossover
