Jan 29, 2001 - Bertone is completing a very realistic car of the near future that it has developed in association with the Swedish SKF Group, Nokia and Bose.
The new research vehicle - called FILO (Italian for wire) is actually steered, accelerated and braked by electronically controlled actuators imported from Avionic technology and does without a steering column, and pedals.
Bertone designers have consequently ventured into design a car that is more of a living room, with two sofa front and rear and plenty of room around driver and passengers.
The passenger controls his car through a sort of 'driving board'.
Filo also anticipated the 'connected-car' of the future and Bosé in unveiling a new technology that deliver the multi-channel sound of a concert hall to each passenger.
