Strate College has become a major source of recruitment for automotive design studios in France and internationally, and is considered as one of the leading European design schools for automotive design.
Nicolas Blondeau proposed a narrow-track medical rescue vehicle for urban use, while Alexis Martot looked at the vehicle as a living space, with inspiration from home and furniture environments.
Thomas Prevost took into account people with reduced mobility in his vehicle interior concept, and Julien Montousse showed a working prototype of a personal submersible vehicle, including video footage of the vehicle in use underwater.
The five year degree course includes several opportunities for internships with design studios within France as well as internationally. Strate Collège industry partners include Renault Design, Citroën, Peugeot, PSA Advanced Design, General Motors, Michelin, RATP.
The students discover the benefits of these partnerships during their industrial placements:
Practical experience of the factory environment in the 2nd year (1 month)
Design placement in a consultancy or in-house design team in the 3rd year (3 months)
International placement in the 4th year - consultancies, manufacturing companies, foreign design schools, or a study trip (3 to 6 months)
Part time placement in the 5th year throughout the final diploma project preparation (6 months)
The school is responsible for finding all placements.
