Sep 26, 2005 – Marek Djordjevic has left Rolls-Royce to establish a new creative agency. Djordjevic leaves his position as Head of Exterior Design at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and Creative Director of DesignworksUSA automotive studio to set up Marek Djordjevic Inc., an independent strategic design and luxury brand development agency.

Djordjevic, 36, was born in former Yugoslavia in Eastern Europe, and received his degree in Transportation Design from Art Center College of Design, California. He began his career at BMW-owned subsidiary DesignworksUSA where he worked on concept and production BMWs, as well as MINI, MG and Rover models during BMWs ownership of Rover Group.

Marek Djordjevic Inc, based in Los Angeles, will focus on premium land, sea and air vehicles and accessories, exploring new ideas in vehicle design, product planning and brand communication. The move marks an end to 15 years with BMW Group, Djordjevic being best remembered for his Rolls-Royce Phantom exterior designs and the delicious 100EX concept, which will spawn the next Corniche in 2007. Despite his departure, he will still continue to collaborate with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in this new capacity.
